I had always dreamed of being published. I thought it meant someone cared about my ideas.
However, I was not published for my ideas. I was published for my dreams.
Dreams might not technically be ideas, but someone did care enough about it to transcribe, publish, and read it alongside other Richmond dreamers. Mathias Svalina, pictured right, is a poet with a dream subscription service. He transcribes people's dreams and delivers them to each subscriber's doorstep, every morning by bicycle. I stumbled upon him upstairs at Chop Suey bookstore in Richmond, VA. He published this Zine with about 40 other dreams.
About 25 strangers now know I let Matthew McConaughey down.
